Kyocera's sapphire material, featuring extremely high purity (up to 99.99%), excellent plasma resistance and heat resistance, and restricted particle occurrence, is used in semiconductor processing equipment parts, including structural components and tools.

The-Sapphire Anterior Cervical Plate System is comprised of plates and screws that are used for attachment to the anterior cervical spine. Both plates and screws are available in a variety of sizes to suit the individual pathology and anatomic condition of the patient. Plates are pre-shaped with radial and lordotic curvature and have large windows for graft and end plate visualization. Plates range in length to accommodate one to four levels of fusion.

Sapphire glass offers very different qualities. These are, due to the cultivation of the sapphire crystals, completely arbitrary and are determined after testing. Synthetic sapphire glass is evaluated to be suitable for the intended application. Either optically, mechanically, etc. A very high quality sapphire galss produces little or no light scattering or grating distortion and is mainly used for the most demanding optical applications.

Lower quality sapphire glasses can have high light scattering or grating distortion and are therefore mainly used for mechanical, structural applications and less demanding optical applications. Nevertheless, for all qualities, sapphire glass is very high quality compared to other materials, such as borosilicate glass.

Sapphire is the stone of divinity and celestial faith. It is both a stone of wisdom and prosperity and promotes abundance. Though commonly known for its deep blue hue, sapphires exists in a wide variety of colors.

The York Plaque series features a cherry finished plaque with a faux marbled engraving plate. This series is available in three sizes and three colors of marbleized plates: sapphire, emerald or ruby. Waveplates are used in the synthesis and analysis of polarized light. Quarter Waveplates transform linearly polarized light into circularly polarized light, and vice-versa. Half Waveplates rotate the plane of polarization of linearly polarized light through any angle. They also convert left circularly polarized light into right circularly polarized light, and vice-versa.

Retardation varies slowly with wavelength, thus they are useful with tunable or broadband sources. Retardation is a function of thickness difference between the two plates, and is essentially invariant with temperature.

The lightest and easiest-to-wear of the improvements of the Mystical Rune Plate. The sapphire is added to the gap on the front of the armor. Some parts of the armor get re-colored to blue and blueish runes are shown in red in the back and front of the armor.

This armor offers very high stats, even higher than the ones of the Mystical Rune Plate, while it also lowers the requirement from 25 to 15 and the weight from 27 to 12. Stats-wise it falls a bit short compared with its other 2 counterparts, the ruby and the emerald versions.

To obtain this armor, the player has to take a Mystical Rune Plate to the Hidden Mines of Al-Aziz and offer the drunk the armor, a Qualis Gem and Wine. The drunk will then offer the player one of the 3 gem rune versions, one of these being the sapphire version.

Thorlabs' Zero-Order Achromatic Wave Plates are constructed by aligning the fast axis of a birefringent quartz plate with the slow axis of another birefringent plate made from magnesium fluoride or UV sapphire, resulting in a relative phase delay of λ/4 or λ/2 between the two axes. The use of crystalline quartz with magnesium fluoride or UV sapphire minimizes the wavelength dependence of the retardation such that a nearly flat spectral response is achieved over the entire operating range of the achromatic wave plate (see the example retardance graph to the right). This allows these achromatic wave plates to be used over much broader wavelength ranges than our multi-order quartz wave plates. These wave plates are designed for use at normal incidence.
