As part of GF Machining Solutions, Liechti Engineering stands as a global leader in the production of airfoil machining solutions for the aerospace industry. However, the company's history reveals its evolution from different industrial beginnings to its current specialized expertise.

By 1900, Liechti shifted its focus primarily to the machining industry. This period saw the production of various conventional tip lathe machines, slide spindle lathes, and other milling machines. The expertise and precision honed in these early decades laid the groundwork for their future in high-precision engineering.

The 1940s and 1950s marked another significant pivot for the company as they ventured into the production of complete butchery solutions, becoming known for their comprehensive range of shop fittings, refrigerated display cases, and various butchery machines, establishing a reputation for quality and reliability in this sector.

Liechti currently employs over 120 workers globally, operates in the US, Europe, and China and contributes significantly to advancements in aerospace technology. Find out more about Liechti Engineering here.

Achern-Fautenbach, between Karlsruhe and Freiburg im Breisgau, has been the headquarters of the international fischer group since 1971. Here, the machines and methods are developed that provide technically sophisticated longitudinally welded tubing worldwide as well as components and subassemblies developed from them.

fischer Hydroforming has been part of the fischer group since 2007. With the acquisition of the former hde Solutions in Menden, the fischer group secured the experience and expertise of the leading German hydroforming pioneers. Today that benefits the entire fischer group and its customers from Mexico to China.

In 1998, the fischer group acquired an existing plant in Griffen (Austria) as a competence centre for inline bright annealed, TIG welded and seam smoothed tubes. Thanks to the new beginning as fischer Edelstahlrohre Austria and a consistent strategic realignment, not only were jobs saved. It was the beginning of a special success story.

More than 30 years of longitudinally welded stainless steel tubing and over 15 years of tubing technology for the North American market. Today, more than 350 employees work here on approximately 30,000 m of production space.

With the location in Uruguay, the fischer group has been able to considerably reduce freight costs since 2009, above all to Brazil and Argentina, thus significantly improving its competitive position in South America. The strategic expansion of the site with its first own slitting line for coil material made production even more flexible. This is as beneficial in the automotive industry as it is in the sugarcane industry.
