If the keyboard problem happens recently, and if you have ever created a restore point or there is an automatic system restore existed, try to restore the computer to a point before the problem began to resolve the problem. If you experience there is a short delay before the character displays on the screen when you press a key. The Filter keys function might be enabled. Try to disable Filter keys and check whether the key is more responsive.


If you experience that when pressing some specific keys but the numeric characters display on the screen, the NumLock function might be disabled. Please try to enable the NumLock function and check whether the keys are working properly.

I had major issues with this Asus X205T laptop several months ago after a Windows 10 update. It wouldn't boot up properly anymore. So, I thought it was a good time to wipe the drive and install a Linux distro. Unfortunately, Linux doesn't play well with this computer. So, I just re-installed Windows 10 (32 bit).


edit: I've searched for the specific parts, but they're just the stock, built-in parts that seem to be manufactured specifically for this laptop. For example, this is the only thing close to a part reference I could find for the keyboard/touchpad.


I Run Into the same problem. I notice that is post is 4 months old and you most likely have found the solution as I did. Go to _download/ and download the chipset driver. That's it. I now have keyboard, touchpad, sound and webcam.


A missing or outdated driver can cause the problem. If the keyboard issue persists after uninstalling the keyboard driver, you can try update the keyboard driver for your Asus laptop.
