statistics, we are living on this planet as on a credit card. At the moment, North
America is consuming the equivalent value of five earths, Western Europe, four,
and the only group living on and below what the Earth can produce are the Middle
East, Central Asia and the Pacific. And even they are set to jump the mean line
shortly due to industrialisation. The bottom line is we are running out of credit.
This planet hanging in space with all of us clinging to it are set for a big shock
unless we, collectively, take our heads out of the sand and get doing something
constructive.

Louise's Legacy of love
Imagine hearing children say these words, every day, in a classroom at morning registration:
"I like me and others like me too."
"It's ok to make mistakes because I'm safe."
"I can do ANYTHING!"
"Look at me - I am AMAZING!"
The Now
This is the daily routine in my Year 4 class.
My colleague and I, both teachers in a primary school, have been working with
a number of ten-year olds who, in answer to a questionnaire, said they were unhappy
or troubled in some way. This project arose from our desire to find a positive
way to approach the 'problem' of what are termed in education, 'underperformers',
meaning those not making the required progress.
We have been working one-to-one with the children using affirmations and mirror
work. The project, still in its early stages, has been shaped mostly through trial
and error and has relied a lot on our own intuition! We realise, for example,
that adults still make most of the decisions in a child's life. However, using
selected teachings, the children report feeling happier and now have become aware
that they have the tools to help themselves. If they can continue to remember the
importance of becoming their own best friend - simply by 'talking' kindly to themselves
- we are hoping that their lives will change at deeper levels and thus they will
be able to cope with whatever comes their way.
The Vision
Now imagine this was the normal start to every school day in institutions everywhere.
If schools taught Louise Hay's techniques and philosophy, we'd have children who
were confident about themselves and life, knowing they have a unique place on this
planet, bringing with them their own gifts and talents.
Feeling self-love and having loving support from their fellow students, they would
seek what they needed from their learning, ask questions, make 'mistakes', be free
of limiting thoughts of self criticism or fear of ridicule by their peers. Each
child, feeling a deep sense of self-appreciation, would have no need or desire to
put another down. Understanding that they are truly powerful, these children achieve
their full potential.
We hope that by sharing this 'magic' about thought with children, they will attract
less negative, painful situations later in life because they will be coming from
a place of greater inner peace and self-belief. I tell the children about Louise
Hay, and that by learning from her, they can make choices to create the future they
want for themselves now. The children intuitively understand, because they are still
so open and not yet influenced by scepticism.
The Heritage
Understanding how we form our beliefs about ourselves, relationships and the world
at a very early age, as adults these children will patiently explain life to their
own child, ensuring that their charge feels loved and listened to. These new adults
will be forgiving of themselves as they navigate the unmarked map of parenthood.
Their children will grow up understanding the importance of loving themselves unconditionally
and feel deserving of the best in life. They will be taught to align their thoughts
with their desires.
This new generation of children will grow into happy, confident co-creators, maintaining
vibrations of love and gratitude and generating the positive aspects of everyone
they meet. As their light spreads, we will see a new way for society based on the
principles of love and abundance, which is free of crime and free of war. 'Enough
for everyone' is now a reality, seen in the smiling faces of children everywhere.
As the vibration around the planet rises, Mother Earth lovingly responds and is
aided in her own healing and evolution.
Imagine...Thousands and thousands of tiny beacons of light, tomorrow's children
leading the way.

Dear Coach:
After 8 years of running my own small business, the economic crisis has made me
lose all my clients and I am now bankrupt.
I have good educational qualifications with almost 20 years of experience, but it
is two years now that I am looking for a job without any success. My husband also
is hit and our financial situation is catastrophic. We are struggling not to end
on the streets.
I have been using Louise's affirmations since 1999 and have achieved lots of good
things in my life. I still love myself despite this precarious financial situation.
Trying to be positive
Dear Trying:
Thank you for reaching out to HYL Ask a Coach. I believe everything happens
for a reason. We may not be willing to accept this at the time, but it is at
these very moments that we have to muster up the trust in the universe and know
that only good will come from this situation.
It is easy to have trust when our path is uncomplicated. But being able to find
peace when the challenges of life are present is the lesson, and provides the opportunity
for the greatest spiritual development. The growing pains of your present experience
will allow you to identify and feel the peace of the outcome.
Part of you is in fear of what might happen - the ''what if's'' of the story authored
by you in your conscious mind. What are you telling yourself that has not happened
yet? How much of your time is this fictional story occupying and how much fear
and anxiety has it created, as if it had already taken place?
The fear comes from having expectations of what the result is supposed to look like.
Separate what you have control over and what you do not. Take action in the areas
you HAVE control over and then let go of the results - give permission to the universe
to do its part. Expecting specific results, at specific times, and of a specific
nature, is believing that you are in total control. Realize (real-eyes) that all
you do have control over what is being presented to you NOW. Allow the universe
to set the stage, step into the role and do the best you can.
There also seems to be a part of you that is holding on to what was. Please know
that this is a time of transition - one door has closed and you are in the hallway,
moving towards the next door that will open. The past served you well, be thankful
for it, and release it with love. Then step into the Now, accept it - that is what
will guide you into co-creating a brighter future with the universe. Your energy
and vibration may be stuck in focusing on what it is that you do not want and because
of this you may be attracting more of what you are focusing on - LACK.
So concentrate on what you do have: you are surviving, you do have a roof over your
head, and you are in the process of finding the perfect position for you. You have
also successfully discovered jobs that are not right for you; so now allow the universe
to guide you to the perfect next place. I also wanted to acknowledge your determination
in continuing to work with Louise Hay's philosophy. Keep that belief system as
your bedrock. It is firm, known, and from 1999 up till recently, you already acknowledged
that it worked for you.
To turn the present situation around, I suggest you begin with using the following
affirmation. Look into your eyes in a mirror as you repeat the words and allow whatever
feelings to surface. Then gently breathe them away or start journaling what is coming
up.
I release the past with love. I am open to, accept and deserve the endless possibilities
the universe provides me. I trust the universe and step into all of the goodness
of it, better than I could ever imagine. Life loves me. I am safe - it is only
change.

Louise's Legacy of love
Imagine hearing children say these words, every day, in a classroom at morning registration:
"I like me and others like me too."
"It's ok to make mistakes because I'm safe."
"I can do ANYTHING!"
"Look at me - I am AMAZING!"
The Now
This is the daily routine in my Year 4 class.
My colleague and I, both teachers in a primary school, have been working with
a number of ten-year olds who, in answer to a questionnaire, said they were unhappy
or troubled in some way. This project arose from our desire to find a positive
way to approach the 'problem' of what are termed in education, 'underperformers',
meaning those not making the required progress.
We have been working one-to-one with the children using affirmations and mirror
work. The project, still in its early stages, has been shaped mostly through trial
and error and has relied a lot on our own intuition! We realise, for example,
that adults still make most of the decisions in a child's life. However, using
selected teachings, the children report feeling happier and now have become aware
that they have the tools to help themselves. If they can continue to remember the
importance of becoming their own best friend - simply by 'talking' kindly to themselves
- we are hoping that their lives will change at deeper levels and thus they will
be able to cope with whatever comes their way.
The Vision
Now imagine this was the normal start to every school day in institutions everywhere.
If schools taught Louise Hay's techniques and philosophy, we'd have children who
were confident about themselves and life, knowing they have a unique place on this
planet, bringing with them their own gifts and talents.
Feeling self-love and having loving support from their fellow students, they would
seek what they needed from their learning, ask questions, make 'mistakes', be free
of limiting thoughts of self criticism or fear of ridicule by their peers. Each
child, feeling a deep sense of self-appreciation, would have no need or desire to
put another down. Understanding that they are truly powerful, these children achieve
their full potential.
We hope that by sharing this 'magic' about thought with children, they will attract
less negative, painful situations later in life because they will be coming from
a place of greater inner peace and self-belief. I tell the children about Louise

The Heritage
Understanding how we form our beliefs about ourselves, relationships and the world
at a very early age, as adults these children will patiently explain life to their
own child, ensuring that their charge feels loved and listened to. These new adults
will be forgiving of themselves as they navigate the unmarked map of parenthood.
Their children will grow up understanding the importance of loving themselves unconditionally
and feel deserving of the best in life. They will be taught to align their thoughts
with their desires.
This new generation of children will grow into happy, confident co-creators, maintaining
vibrations of love and gratitude and generating the positive aspects of everyone
they meet. As their light spreads, we will see a new way for society based on the
principles of love and abundance, which is free of crime and free of war. 'Enough
for everyone' is now a reality, seen in the smiling faces of children everywhere.
As the vibration around the planet rises, Mother Earth lovingly responds and is
aided in her own healing and evolution.

Dear Coach:
After 8 years of running my own small business, the economic crisis has made me
lose all my clients and I am now bankrupt.
I have good educational qualifications with almost 20 years of experience, but it
is two years now that I am looking for a job without any success. My husband also
is hit and our financial situation is catastrophic. We are struggling not to end
on the streets.
I have been using Louise's affirmations since 1999 and have achieved lots of good
things in my life. I still love myself despite this precarious financial situation.
Trying to be positive
Dear Trying:
Thank you for reaching out to HYL Ask a Coach. I believe everything happens
for a reason. We may not be willing to accept this at the time, but it is at
these very moments that we have to muster up the trust in the universe and know
that only good will come from this situation.
It is easy to have trust when our path is uncomplicated. But being able to find
peace when the challenges of life are present is the lesson, and provides the opportunity
for the greatest spiritual development. The growing pains of your present experience
will allow you to identify and feel the peace of the outcome.
Part of you is in fear of what might happen - the ''what if's'' of the story authored
by you in your conscious mind. What are you telling yourself that has not happened
yet? How much of your time is this fictional story occupying and how much fear
and anxiety has it created, as if it had already taken place?
The fear comes from having expectations of what the result is supposed to look like.
Separate what you have control over and what you do not. Take action in the areas
you HAVE control over and then let go of the results - give permission to the universe
to do its part. Expecting specific results, at specific times, and of a specific
nature, is believing that you are in total control. Realize (real-eyes) that all
you do have control over what is being presented to you NOW. Allow the universe
to set the stage, step into the role and do the best you can.
There also seems to be a part of you that is holding on to what was. Please know
that this is a time of transition - one door has closed and you are in the hallway,
moving towards the next door that will open. The past served you well, be thankful
for it, and release it with love. Then step into the Now, accept it - that is what
will guide you into co-creating a brighter future with the universe. Your energy
and vibration may be stuck in focusing on what it is that you do not want and because
of this you may be attracting more of what you are focusing on - LACK.
So concentrate on what you do have: you are surviving, you do have a roof over your
head, and you are in the process of finding the perfect position for you. You have
also successfully discovered jobs that are not right for you; so now allow the universe
to guide you to the perfect next place. I also wanted to acknowledge your determination
in continuing to work with Louise Hay's philosophy. Keep that belief system as
your bedrock. It is firm, known, and from 1999 up till recently, you already acknowledged
that it worked for you.
To turn the present situation around, I suggest you begin with using the following
affirmation. Look into your eyes in a mirror as you repeat the words and allow whatever
feelings to surface. Then gently breathe them away or start journaling what is coming
up.
I release the past with love. I am open to, accept and deserve the endless possibilities
the universe provides me. I trust the universe and step into all of the goodness
of it, better than I could ever imagine. Life loves me. I am safe - it is only
change.
