What’s your favorite Rotaract memory? Why did you join your club? And what would make your club even better? During World Rotaract Week, 12-18 March, we are inviting Rotaractors and Rotarians to celebrate what’s best about Rotaract through Twitter chats in English, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.

To join any of these conversations, search for #RACtalk on Twitter at one of the times below:

All times listed are Central Time (Chicago time). Convert to your time zone. Transcripts of all the chats will be posted at www.storify.com/rotaract afterward.

Tell the world how your club is celebrating World Rotaract Week with service projects, partnerships, or other activities. Record a video of your club saying “We are Rotaract” in your language and submit it to be added to a World Rotaract Week video. And take advantage of special pricing on the new Rotaract promotional cards. Through 19 March, you can buy 50 cards for just US$5.

Take advantage of an exceptional offer!

Webinars: How to engage young professionals

Join a panel of Rotarian experts to learn how your Rotary club can engage today's young professionals through communications, innovative strategies, and invitations to membership. This webinar will help you maximize your club’s communications to energize existing members and reach out to prospective ones. Get ready for Global Youth Service Day

Global Youth Service Day

Join millions of children, teens, and young adults to change the world through service on Global Youth Service Day, 20-22 April. Issues like health, education, hunger, poverty, disaster preparedness, human rights, and the environment can seem overwhelming. But on Global Youth Service Day, young people in over 100 countries on six continents will take action by educating others, volunteering in their communities, advocating for change, and giving back.

We encourage all New Generations participants to get involved. Find ideas and resources, see what's happening around the world, and register your project at www.GYSD.org.

Interactors record elders’ stories

Interactor with intervieweeStudents from the West Orange High School Interact Club in Florida, USA, have been learning about the past from people who lived it. These Interactors spent three months interviewing residents at a local senior care facility to learn about their lives. After hearing these personal histories, the students developed a bound volume of 22 life stories, which they shared with the interviewees.

Learn more about the project and read one resident’s story.

Mind over antimatter

Makoto FujiwaraLong before Makoto Fujiwara began trapping antimatter, he was a shy Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar whose primary concern was passing his classes. In 1992, Fujiwara received a scholarship from the Rotary Club of Kofu South, Japan, to study physics at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Now he studies antimatter at a research laboratory, and he credits Rotary with opening the doors that led to his success. “I wouldn’t have studied physics if I hadn’t come to Canada as a scholar,” says Fujiwara, who is also a former Rotaractor. “It was the start of everything for me.”
