June is Rotary Fellowships Month |
During June, plan to help members learn more about
getting involved with Rotary beyond their clubs and across national boundaries.
Whether members are interested in vocational service,
recreational activities, or visiting Rotarians around the world, they can connect with others who share their interests by becoming involved in
programs like Rotary Fellowships and Rotary Friendship Exchange. Rotary service connections can also
help your club establish a twin-club relationship or find a partner for a service project. |
Tell us about your PETS experience |
Whether you were a trainer, participant, or organizer, we'd like to hear from you about your experience at the presidents-elect training
seminar. Did you enjoy an interactive activity or hear an idea from another Rotarian that you plan to implement in the next Rotary year? Send details
to le...@rotary.org . |
Training with technology | ![]() We've discussed previously how Twitter can aid in training. This month, we offer a few suggestions on how Facebook can enhance the training
experience:
- Set up a meet-up or chat in your Facebook group, either as an event
or a wall post. Set a date and time when your members can log on for a live discussion with a guest speaker.
- Extend the learning
opportunity by posting post-training activities or reflection questions. Your members will remain engaged and may learn from others'
contributions.
- Post games. Facebook offers an assortment of games, but look for those that promote team-building and
teamwork.
- "Like" it. Encourage members to "like" an event or a posting by a fellow member. Friends of your members
who see the activity may then be interested in learning more about Rotary.
