Hello All,
We have begun to distribute the Bridging the Gap Internship Program applications. If you know of students who would be interested in this opportunity, please forward the information below.
Bridging the Gap Internship Program
The Bridging the Gap Internship Program was established to provide an opportunity to Black, Hispanic, Native American and LGBT students, in the financial services industry. The program also provides exposure to a myriad of career possibilities within a global financial services firm and allows students to establish a meaningful relationship with one of the premier firms in the industry. Best efforts are made to match the interests and skill sets of the prospective intern to the needs of the business unit in which she/he will be placed. The application deadline is Monday, December 19, 2011.
Morgan Stanley Bridging the Gap Interns are selected to work as summer interns in various divisions of the firm. In order to be eligible for the program students must be currently enrolled as a freshman at a 4-year accredited institution at the time of this application, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.4 (on a scale of 4.0), be Black, Hispanic, Native American or LGBT and must be able to obtain summer housing in the New York City metro area.
Interns are selected on a competitive basis through an evaluation of the student’s demonstrated academic achievement, recommendation, extracurricular activities, leadership qualities, required essays, completed application, and on-site interview. Candidates are selected for an on-site interview based on the strength of their completed application.
Students who are interested in this opportunity should send an email to bridgin...@morganstanley.com to have an application link emailed to them.
