Penn Brazil Club's Soccer Tournament!!

Greetings all soccer players around the world- err, campus,

Penn Brazil Club is proud to present yet another edition of our Penn Brazil Cup. 2014 can't wait, and the Penn Brazil Club decided to host the World Cup earlier.The venue will be Hutchinson Gym, and for this tournament we will cap participation to 16 teams, given the enormous turnout in the last year. Therefore expect a quick start to the matches and an epic conclusion in the finals! Last time the team Brazil F.C. took the trophy, the glory, and the half-off dinner at Fogo de Chão. Will the defending champions yet again take the prize? Or will a new challenger arise?

Where: Hutchinson Gym.
When: November 6th, 2-5 p.m.
Who: All challengers.
Registration fee: 5 dollars.
Rules: 5 player teams (substitutions allowed), 7 minute games, double elimination (lose twice and you are out). No tackles, tripping, handface, handball, flying kicks (De Jong anyone?) and all that stuff. Finally, no cursing at the referee (BUT allowed under only special circumstances). 

Registration is MANDATORY; you can register at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PQ8GKC3.. The first 16 teams to register will be assigned to their respective slots in the open brackets. Each team gets TWO LIVES, i.e. one loss and there is another match to rescue. Lose another time, and your team is out.

Now, for the prizes:

1st place: Trophy, and a 50% discount to a dinner in Chimas Brazilian BBQ restaurant hosted by Penn Brazil Club.
2nd place: Mini-trophy (yeah, champions get the bigger ones)
MVP: Jabulani soccer ball.
