Considering the possibility of rain tomorrow will there be a rain date?  I know we can all go individually to retrieve whatever we've left, but I am very interested in participating in a discussion about gardening possibilities/ideas and wouldn't want to miss that.  In any event, if I don't get to see/greet all of you again, please know I will miss each of you.   I so enjoyed the hard work trying to make something out of nothing, gettinig frustrated when I failed then feeling so satisfied when something was a success. And  thank you for all the many welcome suggestions and advice.  Being able to work in the garden was a Blessing to me, so peacefull and calming, it will be sorely missed.   Season's greetings to everyone, may your holidays be terrific, safe and healthy.

Maxine

DHS Gardeners:

We have a garden work day scheduled for this Saturday, December 6th, from 9:00 until we are done. We will be emptying the shed of any personal belongings, transplanting and discussing possible locations for our community garden. The students will be transplanting the plants from the pollinator garden and the fruit orchard to another spot on the school grounds. I think there will also be room for the herb garden on school property. There is not enough space to transplant everything in the garden to school property, so if you would like to take some home with you, please bring buckets for the plants. I will bring apple cider and banana bread.

I want to thank you all for creating such a fabulous community garden. I have loved working with all the fabulous gardeners over the past 6 years and have learned so much about gardening and about personal relationships. I have enjoyed talking with all the people who walked by the garden and stopped in to talk. It has been great having all the wonderful volunteer groups come and learn about this great space. I have loved gardening beside the bluebirds, goldfinches, hawks and worms. I think my family (except Mara) thought I was a bit crazy with how much I enjoyed garden work days.

Wow, this is going to be a hard day for me. I hope to see you there.
