Subject: Monday Lacrosse Workouts Cancelled

Hello all, just a reminder that Monday before school workouts will be cancelled due to the student holiday. Workouts will resume on Wednesday with a team wall ball session without coaches in the aux gym. Players should bring their helmet and gloves to the wall ball session. As a coach I will be outside the gym monitoring the hallways.

Sign ups for 2v1's are in my room by appointment. Players from all grade levels and positions are encouraged to come see me in my room to sign up. There is no excuse as to be intimidated by coming to see me or anything else, experience will come with playing. The directions are plain and simple, any player looking to get better come find me and we will work out a date and time for our 2v1. (Typically private sessions run about 60 dollars an hour or more, in this case they are free and I guarantee the level of instruction will benefit you)

2v1's have started since the lacrosse meeting we had earlier this semester. Since then I have done a total of 1 two on ones with my team. I find this number to be very alarming and disappointing. For a reference point I had a 2v1 almost every weekday at my old school with all players from all classes. In the 2v1 that I had at Dunwoody, the players realized that they needed to get in better shape even though they were already a part of a sport in the fall. I am letting you know that when we come back from winter recess we will be conditioning after school. Once again these sessions are not mandatory but highly encouraged. I am curious to see how good of shape we will be in towards the beginning of our season and how serious our team is in getting prepared.

I know my goals and expectations for this season as I think about Jan 26, 2015 everyday. I have been doing work to make sure that I am ready. Some players need to start thinking about what their goals and expectations are and how they are preparing to meet them. Lastly my main goal as a coach to to get 100% from every player. Have you been putting in the effort?
