I'm very disappointed now. Both my Linksys routers are too old to support any other version of DD-WRT besides "micro", I cannot use my Raspberry Pi to monitor and intercept the network traffic on the hotspot. Boo-hoo!
I've figured out that I could use IPTABLES to forward all network communications to the pi, and then use wireshark on the pi to monitor everything. Muhaha!

Anyone have a router they would be willing to sell(cheaply?), that does not say "Micro Only" in the "minimum required DDRT Version" field?

Yeah, I have several buffalo routers and that can run DD-WRT.  You can have one for cheap.

Hooray for Ross! +300 DHMN credits for you.(Redeemable at your local DHMN credit union.)

Let me know what you want for one, and can you give me a model number so I can look up the specs ahead of time.

The nice thing you can stick "Tomato" on the Buffalo router. I have
one and I plan on installing it on it.

I was wondering what the power consumption of the router would be.
The one site said 18 watts of power. With your Internet in a box you
almost could figure out how long you could last with the UPS. You
could use 3G too.
