appletonmakerspace.org: Resource for Beginners Sewing
To:
in...@appletonmakerspace.orgHi There,
I am writing because recently I had the pleasure of teaching my eldest daughter to do her first piece of hand sewing. It was a lovely moment for us both. But in talking to friends and fellow moms, I realized it’s a skill many of us are losing. My name is Sally and I am an editor for a small stitching and sewing website. I know you are busy, so I won’t take too much of your time.
We have produced a full beginners guide to sewing including both hand and machine sewing techniques from the first stitches to the finished piece. Please take a look at our guide here:
https://www.stitchandsew.net/beginners-sewing-guide/ While researching a new article, I came across
http://appletonmakerspace.org/2014/10/14/workshop-sewing-learn-about-using-a-sewing-machine/. Our article seems like a natural fit and I was wondering if you would add it as a resource link, either on this page or on a better resources page you might have. If not, I would love to write an introduction, summary or blog post on this topic which you could then post on
appletonmakerspace.org.
Please let me know if we can work together.
Best Regards,
Sally
