expensive 3d printer on kickstarter

I looked at these guys before.  They don't seem like they will that open with the design or software, nor will they be releasing their resin formulation.  Which would be fine if it were cheap, but I wouldn't want to pay $150 per liter as they state in their FAQ.

I think they are getting a lot of media buzz because they are from MIT.

Ouch, I thought it was nice. I should have read it was not open. I
like the fact on kickstarter can be open or closed. I prefer open. I
did say expensive. I liked the resolution. I wonder if you could
make a spray plastic printer like an airbrush. Heat up the plastic
enough so it can be sprayed using air.
