Our electricity bill was outrageous last month. I suspect this is due to many things being left on. But mostly electric heaters. Please don't use a space heater unless truly necessary. And only for short periods of time.
The electric heat in the bathroom is nice to have, but someone has been leaving it on at 73 degrees 24/7, and often with the light and exhaust fan on full time also. This is essentially running that heater full time to heat the outside, and may have cost us hundreds of dollars by now if it's been going on for long. Please turn off the bathroom heater and light when not in use.
It took the cost of about 10 memberships just to pay electricity last month.
The light is on a sensor, but it's flaky sometimes. And I think people occasionally turn it to the "on" setting when the auto setting isn't working. Then they forget to turn it off.
If anyone would like to contribute a new sensor switch, that would be a welcome donation.
Beyond that, please be considerate of how you use our resources.
Clean up everything you used when you are done. Even if you are coming back tomorrow. That means sweeping and/or vacuuming the tools and area if they produce dust, chips, metal shavings etc.
Put away tools you used. Even if you will be using them in the same place again when you come back. If they aren't put away, others won't know where to find them easily when you aren't there.
Anything you own personally, should be put into your personal member storage when you aren't there. The only exception is for things you are lending to the space for membership use. In those cases, you need approval from the president (me at this time), to leave them out.
Turn off computers and lights including the one in the bathroom. Turn the heaters down, including the one in the bathroom.
We all agreed to maintain these standards when we joined the membership. And it matters.
