Regional Hubs CFP Due March 1stACH looks to once again support smaller, more localized events related to the larger conference but centered in specific regions, whether geographical, national, or theoretical. Through these regional hubs, ACH aims to facilitate exciting opportunities for individuals and institutions to host watch parties and related events for our annual conference to support new intersections for Digital Humanities research, teaching, and engagement. If you are interested in hosting a regional hub, please see our full call for interest and complete the Host Interest form by March 1, 2026. Nominations/ElectionsACH seeks nominations for several leadership roles: (co)Vice President(s)/President(s) Elect (2026-2030), 3 new Executive Council members to serve a 4-year term (2026-2030), and 1 new member to serve for 2 years on the Executive Council (2026-2028). We're looking for folks willing to perform the work of the organization and advocate for our membership and other digital humanists. We especially hope for a slate of candidates that is diverse as to race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, ability, profession, citizenship, nationality, and other identities and backgrounds. Demonstrated commitment to digital humanities is more important to our work than professional affiliation, academic/professional status, or job title. We welcome participants from a wide range of communities including universities and colleges, galleries, libraries, museums, community groups, and other organizations engaged with the digital humanities, as well as independent scholars. We seek individuals with and without academic or professional degrees, including current students. You must be a current member of ACH by the time you step into the role (this summer). Nominations are due by 2/13/2026 via our short nomination form. Questions can be directed to Pam Lach (pl...@sdsu.edu). Requesting input about ADHO peer review processesThe Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO)'s ad hoc peer review committee is tasked with making recommendations for ADHO's annual conference peer review protocol. The committee seeks input from its constituent organizations about their preferred model of peer review. Please take a few moments to complete a brief anonymous survey, or email ACH's committee representative, Pam Lach (pl...@sdsu.edu). Special Interest Group Proposals or RemindersThis year ACH has three active special interest groups (SIGs):
Special Interest Groups (formerly working groups) are self-identified groups of individuals who wish to discuss, work on, and/or otherwise collaborate on an issue related to digital humanities. Any member can propose an interest group for the year (August 1 of the current year to July 31 the following year), at any point in the year. A proposal (no more than 2 pages, double-spaced) consists of a description of the scope and purpose, an initial list of participants, and realistic goals for the year. You can email the proposal to pres...@ach.org. For more information see the Special Interest Groups page on the ACH website. Humanities Mapping SIG Reading GroupThe Humanities Mapping SIG hosts monthly discussions on digital mapping for practitioners at all levels. Contact Dr. Sylvia Fernández Quintanilla (sylvia.f...@utsa.edu) or Dr. Bryan Winston (bryan....@princeton.edu) for meeting information and to join. Membership in the ACH and Its BenefitsEncourage colleagues to join ACH! We've recently revamped our membership system to make it easier than ever to join ACH -- just visit there and select “Join/Renew” under the Membership menu. Student memberships are just $26, and like other membership levels, they help fund student bursaries, open-access journal publications, mentoring services, development micro-grants, and other important DH initiatives. Membership also allows you to vote in our annual elections and contribute feedback through our annual membership meeting, helping decide the direction your DH organization takes! We've received several reports of members running into glitches when attempting to renew. If this happens to you, please email membership [at] ach [dot] org and we'll help. Please encourage DH practitioners in your regional and institutional communities to join! ACH members are eligible for discounts from the following university presses and services. To receive discounts, ACH members must order books through the individual Press websites. We are in the process of renewing discounts with more publishers; please check members.ach.org for more information. As of this writing, the following are available:
