Happy New Year, DHers!

On behalf of 2025-2026 Digital Humanities Collaborative Executive Committee and the North Carolina State University Libraries Open Knowledge Center, the DHC-NC is pleased to announce the CFP for this year's Digital Humanities Institute (DHI). This year's DHI will be held at North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus, Duke Energy Hall, Wednesday and Thursday, May 27-28, 2026. Please share widely and encourage interested students to submit. 

Attached is the full CFP, but an overview of the submission process and important dates is below. Looking forward to a great two days!

Submission Process  


Guidelines:

  • Proposal Submission: Please submit an abstract of 300 words, outlining the focus of your presentation, its relevance to the conference theme, and the methods or approaches you will use. Please submit to this Google Form: (https://forms.gle/xGCwNGT1wsiggyDi9)

    • Must be submitted as PDF.

  • Presentations may be in a panel, individual presentation, workshop, creative demo, etc.

  • Deadline for Abstracts: 

    • February 27, 2026

  • Notification of Acceptance: 

    • March 27, 2026

  • Full Paper/Article/Project Submission:

    •  Accepted participants will be asked to submit their final paper/presentation by April 30, 2026 for inclusion in the DHI 2026 digital conference proceedings.


All presenters and guests must register to attend. Registration via EventBrite is required. 

NOTE: There will be a registration fee to support this year’s DHI operations


Timeline

  • Abstract submission deadline: February 27, 2026

  • Notification of acceptance: March 27, 2026

  • Registration opens: April 3, 2026

  • Program draft released: mid-April 2026

  • Conference dates: May 27-28, 2026
