Dear DHC-NC Members,
We missed you at today’s meeting! While it was a small group, we had some important updates to share, and we truly hope to see a bigger turnout next time. Especially now—when humanities programs are facing increasing challenges and funding cuts—our collaborative community is more important than ever. Your voice matters, and your presence helps shape the future of our work.
We’re excited to announce that Dr. James Harr III, Ph.D. will be serving as our 2025–2026 DHC-NC President! 🎉 Please join us in congratulating Dr. Harr on his return to this role. As many of you know, he is a professor at Christian Brothers University whose research beautifully bridges digital humanities, data science, and medieval texts. We’re thrilled to have his leadership once again.
This month’s major updates:
- Information about the 2025–2026 Institute will be released soon!
- We’re also holding votes soon for our new President-Elect and Communications Manager—both positions have nominees lined up. However, we’re still looking for a Secretary/Clerk nominee, so if you're interested or would like to nominate someone, please let us know as soon as possible.
Thank you for being part of this community. Let’s stay engaged, connected, and ready to advocate for the future of the humanities—together.
