Vedanta Musings 4 - Understanding Tyaga
When we view Tyaga as "letting go" instead of "giving up", it makes a world of difference and comes with a lightness of heart.
Giving up is a forced action implying much willpower.
Letting go reminds us that we've been holding too tightly.
Objects can remain where we are, the problem is in the tightness of our grip. When we loosen up things automatically come and go as needed. Nothing to hold on to, nothing to give up.

Some reflections from Swamini Svatmavidyananda ji's choice of words. Vedanta teaching comes with a great responsibility which our mahatmas beautifully execute. Choice of words makes a world of difference in understanding Vedanta.
