Enlightenment

Having spent two years researching this phenomena for a book, it seems the terminology means something different to each and every philosophy or religion.

Is there a common definition?

From Advaita to Zen?

What does it mean?

I have taken it to mean that when you get to see that the way you hold life to be is something you made up, you can lighten up about it and let it be, let it go, or simply run with it and enjoy the ride.

This includes the position of enlightenment itself as well as any other position this may include such as "I am God" "I am the Universe"  and the position of no position, as part of a mass of atoms rolling in a vacuum on a journey to who knows where.

Anyone else's definition?

I have a question for you.

I was watching a show on guns yesterday and someone
mentioned a japanese word, I do not have the spelling but
it sounded like muchine.

It means to be one with a thing.

to be part of it as if to be part of the gun or sword someone
was using.

Have you ever heard of it?

I am going to my Aikido dojo later to ask about the word.

To me, "as light".

To live in a way that "lightens up".

You can see it in their bodies.
You can feel it when you look at / touch them.

I am enligthening - often.

Hey Mark,

After 38 years of various practices... Etc... Etc... From personal
experience of moments fluttering in the fringes... I can only say it
is mist easily spoken as "simply connected"

Simply is the key word and it is the word your many words allude
toward... Simple is as simple does... Ease would be another word...
Simple is better for me... Connection is an ambiguous word then "one"
connects and the meaning is so much simple than "one" could have
thought.

Defined as: "simply connected"

As far as I can tell...

Mushi is the life force at the core of every living thing

If you stop thinking Mushi is what keeps you breathing etc

Enlightenment, 

 

i resonate well with the concept of merger,  merging with ,  connection, 

 

understanding our space, the space we keep, and level of connection to the greater world , both internal and external

 

in traditional japanese acupuncture and healing traditions, the highest level of medicine is practised in a chi gong state, as state where one is merging with the universe, a state where the practitioner shares this level of connection with the client.   It is an enlightening process for both giver and receiver.

We merge - together - as one - into the ocean - that we are.

Waves.
Mist.

Rising as clouds.

Rain drops.

PS: So making "this practical". It will be made practical - like
the power of water - by consciousness and intention.

Some water - is used to drive turbines. Like Niagra. Making electricity.
Some water - is used to dissolve - salts and substances.
Some water - is bathed in - danced in - drunk.

All can be used - the power utilized - in love.

Some of the power "behind" water - was used - to generate and to
transport this message to you.

Whooo yah!
