We have our 3rd-sunday-of the month-of-July in person meeting this Sunday, July 20th. We will sit together and who knows what else might happen.

If you can make it in person, please join us at 6017 Abilene Trail from 10am until noon. But as always, we will be on zoom if you can't make it in-person.  If you are able to come early to help set up, we usually arrive between 9:20 and 9:30 and it helps so much to have many people to help set up chairs, cushions, the shrine table, making coffee and tea.  It's a fairly quick setup if there are 4 or 5 people doing it.

Regular schedule details & quick links:
  • Morning Meditation: 7:30 - 8:15 AM Monday - Friday
  • Book Study: 6:30-8 PM Tuesday
    • "No Self, No Problem" by Anam Thubten (wrapping up the next couple of weeks and choosing the next book)
  • Sunday Sangha 10am - 12pm Every Sunday
    • In-person upcoming:  July 20, August 3, August
    • Address: 6017 Abilene Trail Austin, TX 78749

Thanks to everyone who came to our memorial for Ed last Sunday and also to those who offered their love and prayers in other ways.  Mary was very touched and grateful. It was a beautiful service that came together spontaneously to acknowledge and support our friend, Ed, for all he gave us and as he transitions from this life.

Ed will be buried in San Antonio tomorrow, July 17.  Mary sends this invitation:

"The hearse will pick up the casket early Thursday morning at 5814 Abilene Trail, Austin,Tx
It will go to San Antonio to Fort Sam Houston.  The ceremony will be at 10:15 A.M.
There will be taps and a flag. NO GUNS (Ed request). Many will meet at my house and drive with the hearse."

For more info, contact Mary via email at maryl...@gmail.com

Also, I wanted to pass along this essay from Nick Cave on grief.  In this time we are all experiencing grief for various reasons and I found this to be very helpful.
