Sangha announcements: Past, future, books and party

Thanks to Justin for recording the talk last Sunday.

Here is a link to the talk and discussion from last Sunday, Taking Refuge in Meditation. Thanks to everyone for the great discussion that followed,  Since no one  objected, I've left that part in.

This Sunday is the 5th Sunday of  August and we will meet in person at 6017 Abilene Trail. The topic will be "Secret Refuge and Sacred View."

Also, our Tuesday night book group exercised free will and decided to change books mid-stream to "When Things Fall Apart" by Pema Chodron. The book we had just begun, Self-Liberation through Seeing with Naked Awareness, is a wonderful book that many might decide to read on their own.  After the first night reading the book as a group, it appeared to be challenging for many (myself included) to comprehend and discuss.

And last but maybe not least,  Jimmie and I would like to invite everyone over for a sangha pool party and potluck on Sunday, September 14th from 4-7:30. Please bring a dish to share and / or something to throw on the grille and your swimsuit if you want to swim. We'll have ice chests filled with ice sparkling waters with some room to put other drinks you might prefer.   Our address is 4040 Tyx Trail, Spicewood, TX and the Gate Code is 1406.
