Auspicious Visit and Dhamma Teaching by Luang Por Tui.
We are pleased to inform that Luang Por Tui will be giving a Dhamma talk at 1 pm at our Buddhacetiya Hall on Sunday, 23 February 2014.
Luang Por will be accompanied by 5 Venerables of the Thai Forest Tradition namely
1 Tan Pu Tong 37 vassas
2 Tan Ajahn Nyanadhammo 34 vassas
3 Tan Ajahn Moshe 14 vassas
And 2 more Venerables ( 18 vassa and 12 vassa)
Luang Por Tui (Phra Preeda Chandakaro)
Abbot of Wat Pa Darn Viwek, Nongkhai, Thailand.
80 years old (59 vassa).
Luang Por ordained as a Novice at the age of 18. Luang Por’s higher ordination was at the age of 21 by Luang Por Boowa.
Luang Por stayed with Luang Por Shun for a few years. Luang Por Tui stayed with Luang Por Khao (his
teacher) from the 6th to the 19th vassa after which he stayed with Luang Ta Mahaboowa for many years.
Tan Ajahn Tong
Deputy Abbot of Wat Pa Darn Viwek, Nongkhai, Thailand.
62 years old (37 vassa).
Became a Novice at the age of 23. Tan Ajahn’s higher ordination was at the age of 25 by Luang Por Somchit and stayed with him for a few years. Later, Tan Ajahn Tong stayed with Luang Ta Mahaboowa for 3 vassas at Wat Pah Baantat. Tan Ajahn has been staying with Luang Por Tui at Wah Pa Darn Viwek for over 20 years.
Tan Ajahn Nyanadhammo
Abbot of Wat Pa Ratanawan, Bangkok, Thailand.
Ordained at 24 years old, now 58 years old, 34 vassa.
