Speaker Profile:
Dr Chan Kah Yein holds a Ph.D in Mathematics Education. She is the founder of AnimalCare, a medical fund for street animals. She also gives public talks on living a spiritual and simpler life. To date, she has written eight books and her talks have been produced on audio CDs, all for free distribution. Her motto is to embrace simplicity and travel light in life.

We chase after material wealth all our lives thinking it is only form of wealth available. However, it is only one form of wealth and one of the most easily attainable. Let's hear from Rinpoche what are the other forms of wealth we should strive for ....
Profile of Teacher:
Her Eminence Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche is the daughter of the great master Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen. Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche is one of the most renowned Tibetan masters currently teaching in both the East and West. Born into the Mindrolling lineage, which throughout its history has had many accomplished female masters, Rinpoche was recognized at the age of two by His Holiness the 16th Karmapa as the re-incarnation of the Great Dakini of Tsurphu Khandro Ugyen Tsomo, who was one of the most renowned female masters of her time. Thus, the present Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche came to hold both the lineages of Nyingma and Kagyu schools.
Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche received teachings and transmissions from some of the most accomplished masters of the 20th century such as, Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen, Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Kyabje Trulzhig Rinpoche, Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche, Kyabje Tsetrul Rinpoche and Kyabje Tulku Ugyen Rinpoche.
From an early age Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche accompanied her father Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen as his heart student, attendant and translator, receiving some of the most profound and essential lineage transmissions and teachings. In the year 1993, with the blessing of Kyabje Mindrolling Trichen, Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche established the SamtenTse Nunnery and Retreat Center in Mussoorie, India which now provides a place of study and retreat for nuns and is today also renowned as one of the leading place which provides an unique opportunity for retreat and study for practitioners from around the world with a serious interest in the study and practice and of the Buddha Dharma. Her Eminence spends several months each year teaching extensively in Europe, North America and Asia, offering teachings from both the Kagyu and Nyingma lineages.
Rinpoche is also the President of SamtenTse Charitable Projects. Under the leadership of Rinpoche the Mindrolling International and SamtenTse charitable projects includes crucial projects such as VajraVidyadhara, Shri Dharma Sagara projects, ShriDipam projects, Ayujana projects, sponsorships Tibetan Women's Development Projects,Tibetan Youth Projects and so forth.
4) Meditation Q&A By Bhante Ariya-Dassana

Bhante Ariya-Dassana, whose lay name is Tan
Eng Chye, is a life member of BGF. While still a small child, he would follow
his aunt to Penang Buddhist Association to listen to.Dhamma talks, though he
admitted that he could understand many of the talks.
He received his formal Buddhist education
when he joined Mahindarama Sunday Pali School, Penang, in the 1970s.
It was timely that when he moved to the
Klang Valkey in the early 1980s, BGF, then known as Buddhist Graduates
Fellowship, was in the formation stage and he got involved in many of it's
activities.
He got actively involved in the Dhamma
propagation activities after his first attempt as a samanera in 1999 in
conjunction with the 80th birthday of the late Chief, Dr K Sri Dhammananda Maha
Thera. After the novitiate program, he assist BGF to coordinate the late
Chief's sutta classes, which lasted for about 3 years.
From 2000 to 2006, he was involved in
Chempaka Buddhist Lodge to promote Theravada Buddhism. Amongst those activities
were the setting up of a English medium Sunday school, meditation classes,
sutta study classes and weekends meditation retreats.
After leaving Chempaka, with the help of a
few friends, he set up a meditation
centre called Triple Gem Centre, which has since closed down when he renounced
in 2012.
Among those major events he organised were:

Pa Auk Sayadaw 30 days meditation retreat
at Chempaka in 2005
Ajahn Brahm 10 days meditation retreat at
Wat Chetawan in 2010
He was also the Assistant Organising
Chairman of the BGF fund raising dinner at Holiday Villa in 2007 to raise funds
for Ajahn Brahm's Jhana Grove.
From 1993 to 2012, he served in the
Building Committee of Bodhi Park, a project at Bukit Raja undertaken by Yayasan
Belia Buddhist Malaysia.
In 2012, after fulfilling his worldly
duties, he left for Myanmar to renounce at Pa Auk monastery at Thanlyin
township, Yangon.
At the moment Bhante Ariya is setting up his own
hermitage at his friend's orchard at Sungai Pinang, a small village near Balik
Pulau, in Penang, While back In Penang he goes pindapata

Teacher Profile:
Bhante Gavesi is a Malaysian bhikkhu who is currently based in Penang. He was ordained by Sayadaw U Pandita of Panditarama in Myanmar in the year 2001. He has led a number of retreats in Penang, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Kota Tinggi, Melaka, Kuching, Sabah and other places in Malaysia and Indonesia. Presently, he is the Spiritual Advisor of Peace House in Penang.
