Dear Venerable Monastics and Dhamma Friends -

Warm Vesak greetings!

We have begun our week of Vesak celebration here with the Dhammadharini community, and we are delighted to share this special time with you all.

We have many ways you can be involved this week (all times in PDT - California time - Time Zone Converter). Please click on the links below to register and participate:

• Register to make a COVID-safe in-person visit to Dhammadharini Monastery for the meal and Dhamma sharing. Spaces are still available on Monday 5/24 through Wednesday 5/26.
  
• Join for a live event hosted by Ven Tathaloka Mahatheri with Deepak Anand in India, "Life of the Buddha: The Awakening," focusing on the sacred site of Uruvela on the day of the Buddha's great awakening. Monday 5/24, 7-8pm.
• Join a program live from India from the Holy Places of the Buddha for Vesak, with Buddhist Pilgrimage interpreters of Bodhgaya live in the Buddha's footsteps to awakening: from Dharmaranya, then Sujata Temple, Ratnagiri Rock, Pragbodhi, Saraswati, and the Mahabodhi Temple. Tuesday 5/25 5-6pm. 
• Participate in meditation, Dhamma sharing, and discussion with Ven Tathaloka Mahatheri, on "Being Supported by the Qualities of the Buddha." Tuesday 5/25, 7-9pm.
  
• Join Buddhists around the world to celebrate peace, love, and unity, by lighting a Vesak candle on Wednesday 5/26 at 5pm your local time.
  
• Watch "The History and Meaning of Vesak" keynote Dhamma talk by Ven Tathaloka Mahatheri, as part of the Vesak celebration hosted by the Hawaii International Buddhist Association for United Nations International Day of Vesak. Wednesday 5/26, 10-11:30pm. Registration for this event is now closed, but the recorded talk will be released on Dhammadharini's YouTube channel later in the week.
  
• Enjoy a day of meditation with Vesak daylong online meditation retreat led by Ven Sobhana Theri, "The Buddha's Legacy for Us." Saturday 5/29, 5:30am - 7pm.

We're coming to the end of a rich week full of Vesak celebrations and Dhamma sharing! The final event will be an online daylong meditation retreat led by Ayya Sobhana Theri tomorrow, Saturday May 29.
