Still Needed - Useful Things List for Vassa

Dear friends of the hermitage,

 

Thank you for all of your many contributions to the useful and needed supplies so far.  We are coming very near to being well supplied for our 3-month vassatime retreat.  Thanks to everyone who has done so much!!!

 

For those of you who have asked, below is a list of useful supplies that are still needed.  Please let us know if you intend  to contribute any of these supplies before the retreat begins or on Asalha Puja, our Vassatime Retreat Inauguration Day, July 25th.

camping

- solar rechargeable  flashlights (5) and  lanterns (9)
- 8 x 10 tarps (5)
- thermos hot water flasks (4) 

- emergency whistles (1 packet of 10)

- camping pads (3)

 
kitchen
- 8 quart pressure cooker (1)
- tea towels (5)
- kitchen sponges  (1 pack)
- pot rack (please ask)

tools

- hard metal garden rakes (3) (not leaf rake)
- earmuffs for power tool use

medicine chest
- set of basic homeopathic medicines

- gel pads for sprains and burns
- chewable Pepto Bismol and Immodium
- flat ended tweezers (2)
- camping tick removal device (2)
- toothpaste (5) and dental floss (10)

cleaning supplies
- reusable dust mop for yurt
- mop and mop heads for yurt
- clothes pins
- small personal hand sanitisers (5) + 1 large for restroom
- tissues

- Gillette Mach III Razor CARTRIDGES (60 cartidge refills)

- Eco-friendly shaving gel (5)

office
- writing pens (10) & notebooks (10)
- copy/printer paper (1 pack) and plastic sheets (10) to cover paper for signs
- rechargeable batteries AA (40) + AAA (20), large-multiple capacity battery charger for AA & AAA batteries

 - mp3 players (3) (collective, for Dhamma talk listening and learning precept and ordination chanting)
