Mainframe, Unix

6-8 years of Systemware XACT, IBM Mainframe, Windows, Open Systems Linux experience, and previous experience with report archival and retrieval product(s).

A technical degree from a College or University and/or relevant proven work experience is required.

Experience with various technical programming languages, and phase report studies are required.

Minimum years of experience: 5 + Years

Job Description for Supporting Report Archival and Output Services for Business

Responsible for evaluating new techniques, practices, or technologies that meet the corporation's strategic goals. Will evaluates the bank's current EDP environment in light of new practices in a designated industry or area of expertise. Acts as a business/technical consultant to partners and coordinates implementation of BAU services and new processes and techniques. Responsible for evaluating new techniques, practices, or technologies that meet the corporation's strategic goals. Evaluates the bank's current EDP environment in light of new practices in a designated industry or area of expertise.

Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of various business applications, state of the art technology, and current trends in the computer industry is required to evaluate and recommend new technologies. Knowledge of various application designs and programming techniques, usually acquired through related experience, is required to evaluate processes. Analytical and problem solving skills are needed for systems guidance. The following also are required:

Strong Linux application level debugging and performance profiling skills.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins or Drone Virtualization & Hypervisor operation, networking, and troubleshooting. VMware preferred.

Understanding of network concepts and technology including IP Addressing (CIDR/Netmasks), VLANs, port trunks, and layer 3 routing.

Understanding of firewall operation including VPN tunnels (IPSec, SSL), S/DNAT, security zones, and complex routing scenarios.

Understanding of Load Balancer operation and concepts including SSL termination, Layer 4 / Layer 7 differences, architecture options.

Programming/Scripting language knowledge (Bash, PowerShell or Python). Minimum of two years of experience is preferred.

Experience managing medium to large environments including hardware, software, virtualization, OS management, patch distribution, inventory/asset tracking, and network management is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in this area.
