Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer with over 8 years of experience to support mission-critical financial applications at Freddie Mac. This role focuses on designing and implementing scalable, high-performance back-end systems using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot. You will be responsible for architecting Microservices and deploying them within an AWS cloud environment, ensuring that the services are robust, secure, and integrated seamlessly with broader enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

Backend & Microservices Architecture

• Advanced Java Development: Lead the design and development of complex back-end logic using Java and J2EE frameworks.
• Spring Boot Mastery: Build and maintain production-grade Microservices, utilizing Spring Boot for rapid development and modularity.
• API Design: Create and document RESTful APIs that facilitate communication between distributed service components.

Cloud Infrastructure & Deployment

• AWS Integration: Deploy and manage applications within the AWS ecosystem, leveraging core services for storage, compute, and networking.
• Microservices Orchestration: Ensure high availability and scalability of services within a cloud-native environment.
• Modern Tooling: Utilize cloud-based CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment and testing of backend code.

Mandatory Technical Requirements

1. Java/J2EE: 8+ years of core back-end development experience.
2. Spring Framework: Expert-level hands-on expertise with Spring Boot.
3. Microservices: Proven experience building and scaling microservices-based architectures.
4. AWS Ecosystem: Solid exposure to AWS services and cloud deployment patterns.
