happy holidays and sports conference and gymnastic event

Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season. 

 

For those of you who have not yet seen the flyers, attached is the brochure for the Current Concepts in Sports Medicine 2012 (CCSM) conference to be held at T Boone Pickens here at the UTSW campus January 27-28, 2012.  Preregistration is already double last year’s pace.  Please feel free to forward to anyone who you think would be interested.

 

Also, UTSW and CMC will be providing medical coverage for the womens gymnastic invitational “WOGA classic” Saturday and Sunday February 18 and 19 in Plano at the Dr. Pepper Center and possibly Frisco WOGA.  They are expecting 1500 gymnast of all levels. We have enough physician volunteers, but if anyone is interested in helping with coverage let me know and we’ll try to put you to work as a volunteer (we’ll provide parking, food, shirts, and passes to the event).  Given the staff oversight, this should be a good experience for residents/fellows interested in sports medicine

 

We will also need a number of ATCs to help with the WOGA classic.  In exchange for covering two 6-7 hours shifts, in addition to the above, we will provide complimentary registration for the CCSM course, or for Finger to Toes 2012 which will be May 4 and 5, 2012.
