Dear group,
The Perot museum (see front page article about the dinosaurs in DMN today) is going to have a permanent exhibit on sports science. It is an interactive museum. In the sports area they are going to have a 20 yard sprint track where the kids (or adults) can sprint alongside a virtual creature...dinosaur, cheetah, pro football player, etc...videotaped at 500 frames per sec. They can then view their mechanics/race on computers and post to youtube/facebook/ etc.
Later in the Fall, they will be taping skills--swing bat, golf club, tennis racquet, throw baseball/football etc--to do the same thing.
The idea is to get kids interested in science through sports. They have recruited some Dallas Cowboys players, boxers, gymnasts, etc to run for their video archives, then the kids can "race" against them. We're hoping to get a couple track athlete to run, but due to NCAA policies we can't use them.
I was hoping to get some stud High Schoolers going off to college to replace the track athletes. Does anyone have contact with high school athletes that might be able to do this next wednesday? The studio is in north dallas. The grand prairie south track athlete of the year named today would be great, but I don't have any contact there.
Anyone with contacts, or suggestions? thanks

Sent it out to all 17 schools we cover! Told them to get back to me asap. Thanks.
