With so much to learn in Grails, why are we spending two months on a different technology?

Bill,

Good question. We're covering Scala for two months because it's an important, alternate, jvm-based language and nobody in DFW is talking about it.

Further, but not diminishing the importance of the two Scala talks is our need for speakers. For our group to be successful we need our local members to present. I challenge you Bill, to step up and present to the group. If will help you learn and it will help our community learn.
