Saturday, 07/29/23 1:00 PM to 1:51 PM at the Hulen Mall food court, in southwest Fort Worth, TX
This was another of our regularly scheduled Saturday afternoon game sessions. We only had two gamers, as the other two (Lindsay and User 366340442) didn‘t show up. Luckily there were no loud musicians this afternoon.
First up, my Lost Cities, which was new to Ismael. In round one I kept cautioning Ismael about starting expeditions that he couldn’t make productive. Yet for the most part he just kept doing it.
Round #1 - Ismael started four expeditions, yet only one was productive. That gave him a -42 at round end. Whereas I only started three expeditions and all yielded a positive result (thought two were rather weak). Scores at that point: Michael W 41, Ismael -42.
Round #2 - More of the same. Ismael started four expeditions and two turned out to be negative. Again he wouldn’t listen to my advice about starting more than three expeditions. Scores at round end: Michael W 30, Ismael -94.
We did not play the third round, as Ismael declared he was leaving. So our cumulative scores for round 1 and 2 at that point were: Michael W +71, Ismael -68. Duration: 37 minutes.
Therefore our usual three hour game session only lasted 51 minutes.
