There is a new indian food restaurant in Plano. It is in the remodeled
space where Akbar used to be near Parker and the expressway. The name
is Jodah Akbar. The wife and I went for lunch on Saturday and it was
very good, better than the old Akbar in fact. They are having lunch
and dinner buffets for $5.95 for "a llimited time." The long term
plan is to have only lunch buffets. There was a large selection on
the buffet, ( about 16 meat and veg items) plus soup, salad, and two
deserts. ( mango pudding and kheer ). The food was not spicy enough
for our tastes and the manager, Abdul, said they were still trying to
adjust the heat for the general public. We voted for more.
