I see the 8-10cup size all over, but have not seen the unbleached
smaller basket size (2-4cup). Haven't seen them at Kroger, Walmart,
etc yet.

Anyone seen these around?

I wouldn't know, I use the gold baskets (and in a different size).
But have you checked Whole Foods? And if they don't have them,
you can probably find them online.

I tried whole foods, CM, and that new... uhhh... Vitamin Cottage or
whatever in Richardson (which was a bust, IMO).

Many places (even mainstream groceries) carry the normal basket size
in unbleached but I haven't seen the smaller basket like that yet.

Right.

I did poke through the first page of results (admittedly pre-coffee
this morning) but I didn't see any in the smaller size.

I am not some kind of rabid treehugger, but if I do see some of the
unbleached ones I'd rather go that way.

Thanks for the reply.

Hmm, that's surprising. You'd think there'd be at least a couple
of good hits, but I can't find any either.

Amazon has the permanent filter:

Me too - probably my imagination, but I just think the coffee
tastes better.

Maybe your search string was not specific enough, my first three tries yield
good sources .
<http://www.nextag.com/unbleached-coffee-filter/search-html> start there.
It is not the tree hugger bit, it is the dioxin in the bleached versions.

No 2-4 cup basket filters there; that's that the OP needs.
Plenty of 10-12 cup filters and cone filters, sure.

I just found a bunch on Amazon.

(Man-oh-man, I hate Google for not making Groups read-only when
they swallowed up DejaNews.)
