Kickball & Flag Football
There is still a little time to sign up for Kickball or Flag Football if you haven't already. Just head on over to the website at http://www.dfwsecfans.com for more info and to find out which organizer to contact!!
Please take note of the modified date of this month's SEC Mixer! Instead of our regular Third Thursday, this month it will be on TUESDAY, July 12th. There is other stuff going on on our regular night (more on that below), and so we also wanted to go ahead and try to accomodate those who ask for a night other than Thursday.
July's SEC Mixer is hosted by the Vanderbilt Commodores, and will be held at Christie's Sports Bar, starting at 6:00pm and going until everyone leaves. So mark your calendars and come on out and join us on that TUESDAY!

Tide In Texas Benefit Concert
On Thursday, July 21st, there will be a benefit concert for the Ashley Harrison Memorial Scholarship Fund from 7:00pm - 11:00pm. Ashley Harrison was one of the many victims of the tornadoes that struck Tuscaloosa and the south on April 27th. Ashley was from the DFW area. Tide In Texas thought that establishing this scholarship fund would be a great way to honor Ashley and her family by providing another deserving DFW student a scholarship to attend the University of Alabama.

Kick-Off Party
It is almost time for College Football to kick off, and for SEC fans that means we need to PARTY!! Thursday, August 18th, will be our 3rd Annual Kick-Off Party, which is our BIG event of the year. Two years ago we had approx 130 people and about 9 schools, and last year we had 140 and 11 schools. Can we jump that number up to 200 and all 12 schools this year?? I think we can, and would love to see that happen!
The Georgia Bulldogs, our host this year, have secured Dave & Buster's at Walnut Hill & 75 as the location. We will have FREE appetizers, FREE pool, and we are still working on trying to get some door prizes to give away. We will also have some very nice Scentsy gift bags available as silent auction items, compliments of Teresa Shafer.
