27 May 26, 14:00 - 16:00 (GMT-05:00) America/Chicago
https://csteachers.org/events/mentors-in-cs-designing-and-implementing-a-mentoring-program/
This interactive workshop is designed for program leaders, facilitators, and organizations interested in launching or strengthening a computer science mentoring program. Participants will explore the structure and design of the MENTORS in CS model, including how mentor–mentee relationships are supported, how goals are developed and tracked, and how communities of practice and research are integrated into the experience.
Through hands-on activities and guided exploration, participants will engage with key components of the program, including mentor moves, goal-setting tools, and facilitation strategies. The session will also highlight practical considerations for implementation, including capacity-building, participant selection, and program sustainability.
Participants will leave with a clear understanding of how the model works and concrete ideas for adapting it to their own context.
