Hi Teachers and Coordinators.

My name is Chris Dubia, and I am Executive Director of MapWorks Learning, a U.S.-based educational nonprofit. I am writing to you today to invite you to join our Ukraine Youth Action Network, a semester-long virtual exchange program for youth ages 12-17.

The Ukraine Youth Action Network (UYAN) is a unique opportunity for your students to connect and collaborate with displaced Ukrainian youth who have found refuge in EU countries. Through a series of weekly guided activities, students will explore identity, community, and leadership. As the program unfolds, they'll work together to design and implement projects meant to benefit war-affected Ukrainians.

A few things to note:
  • The program is free - there is no cost, we in fact provide stipends to teachers if they are able to accept them.
  • The project is ONLY open to schools in the U.S at the moment for grades 7-12.
  • The program begins in January, with two other opportunities in fall of 2024 and Spring 2025.
  • MapWorks Learning is a 501(c)(3)
  • The project is funded by the Stevens Initiative, which is housed at the Aspen Institute and is supported by the Bezos Family Foundation.

Please email me (ch...@mapworkslearning.org) if you have any questions or would like to learn more about how to get involved.

Best wishes,

Chris
