Justin Lofton Debuts New JIMCO Trophy Truck at Best in the Desert’s Parker 425 Justin Lofton began a new chapter in his racing career this past weekend at Best in the Desert’s Parker 425. Lofton debuted his brand new JIMCO #41 Trophy Truck named “Bad Company” in convincing fashion, taking the third fastest time to race day after qualifying +00:00:04.737 off the top qualifier. Though Lofton would get his first taste of open air in a Trophy Truck and lead the race, he would not go on to finish the race. ![]() Lofton displayed early signs of domination with less than 100 miles on the truck. Just three days prior to rolling up to the start line for Time Trials, the team took the truck out to Plaster City to shake down the new vehicle. “Right out of the box, this truck is unreal. JIMCO worked their butt off to get this truck done in time for Parker!” said Lofton in Plaster City. ![]() The truck is a work of art. The new 2015 Jimco Trophy Truck houses a Dougans Racing 8 stack motor with Danzio Life Electronics and a Fortin 5 speed sequential transmission. It sits on 39″ BFGoodrich KR2 Tires on 17″ Trail Ready Wheels, supported by Fox 4.0 front and 4.4 rear full bypass shocks. There’s no doubt some of the Parker buzz was centered on the #41. Its paint scheme by Balboa Auto Body and Graphics by J6 Ink gives it a unique look amongst other vehicles. Lofton started next to Robby Gordon on race day and at RM 31 was a mere twenty seconds behind Robby. “I knew Dondel and Robby would push their pace, so I sat patiently out of their dust and let them do their thing,” commented Lofton. ![]() Justin was right and both Gordon and Dondel broke by the beginning of the second lap. Lofton took over the lead and opened up his JIMCO Trophy Truck. Lofton’s maximum speed in the race was 130mph. Unfortunately before heading in to the main pit for the third lap, he broke an input shaft in to his Fortin transmission. ![]() “Though I didn’t get the finish I wanted, it was a great first run with the truck. My qualifying time proves that this is one of the fastest trucks in the group. That was my only issue on race day and I’m looking forward to being out front at The Mint 400 again,” said Lofton. Justin’s next race will at 2015 Polaris RZR Mint 400 presented by General Tire on March 14th in Las Vegas, NV. Just would like to thank all his sponsors: ![]() About Justin Lofton Justin Lofton’s racing accomplishments are varied and many.
