So I spent about 20 mins on the phone with Apple Care while they tried to figure out what disks to send me based on my serial. I got a disk today and it doesn't have AHT on it /System/Library/CoreServices/ doesn't have a ".diagnostics" folder in it. It seems more like a Retail disk that says Not For Resale than an actual OEM system disk.

Yes, I lost my original disks. My first call with Apple they said they couldn't send me OEM replacement disks. My second call with Apple I was on the phone 20 minutes while he tried to find the disks to send. I paid a small fee and ended up getting sent what appears to be a white label retail disk. See attached image.

At Apple, we believe that you can have great products and great privacy. This means that we strive to collect only the personal data that we need. Descriptions of how Apple handles personal data for certain individual services are available at apple.com/legal/privacy/data.

Microsoft uses diagnostic data to keep Windows secure and up to date, troubleshoot problems, and make product improvements as described in more detail below. Regardless of whether you choose to send Optional diagnostic data, your device will be just as secure and will operate normally. This data is transmitted to Microsoft and stored with one or more unique identifiers that can help us recognize an individual user on an individual device and understand the device's service issues and use patterns.

If you choose to turn on the Improve inking & typing setting, Microsoft will collect samples of the content you type or write to improve features such as handwriting recognition, autocompletion, next word prediction and spelling correction, and we use this data in the aggregate to improve the inking and typing feature for everyone who uses Windows. When Microsoft collects inking and typing diagnostic data, it is divided into small samples and processed to remove unique identifiers, sequencing information, and other data (such as email addresses and numeric values) which could be used to reconstruct the original content or associate the input to you. It also includes associated performance data, such as changes you manually make to text, as well as words you've added to the dictionary. This data is not used for Tailored experiences.

While it is almost as difficult to be against the idea of EBM in principle as it is to be against motherhood and apple pie, the fear among many practicing clinicians is that the practice of subjecting every diagnostic and therapeutic decision to rigorous scrutiny seems to require an unrealistic input of time and energy. This CD-ROM is meant to help cut the time it takes to find the best available evidence in order to put the practice of EBM within reach of all family physicians. Rather than the physician having to take on the laborious (and unlikely) task of searching and evaluating the original research literature, he or she can use evidence-based abstracting services to find information. The Web sites for the Cochrane Library on CD-ROM and the Journal of Family Practice POEMs are other evidence-based aids.
