Greetings from the DevToaster team.
We are happy to announce that we left the ElmCanII-WLAN hardware with
Apple on Friday and that the software is now en route to the review
process for the iTunes App Store. It's been a long hard run, but we
think the end result is worth it. Rev will be available on the App
Store as soon as Apple has completed its review process, and we don't
expect that to be long.
Since Rev is now approaching release, we are also opening up United
States and Canada orders for the ElmCanII-WLAN again. You can order
directly from the DevToaster Store at:
http://www.devtoaster.com/store/
Note that we are currently accepting preorders only. We should be
shipping the new devices by the end of January. Keep in mind that
orders will be shipped out first-come, first-served, so get your order
in early to avoid additional backorders.
European, Asian, and Australian customers should order directly from
CarCode-Müller here:

We've been busy in the last week. As we mentioned in our previous
update, we wanted to be sure that Rev and Rev Lite could update the
ElmCanII-WLAN firmware without too much extra effort, and we've now
provided a really nice one-button solution for that. The alternative
would have meant dragging a laptop to your car, and we wanted to help
you avoid that. A lot of folks have also recently requested an
indicator to show current battery voltage, and that is now available
in both Rev and Rev Lite when connected to the OBD hardware.
Now, let's talk a bit about the future of Rev. As we have said from
the beginning, this is truly a user-driven product. We want to hear
your feedback, and will respond appropriately. Did you encounter any
bugs in Rev? Do you have feature requests for something that would
make your Rev experience infinitely better? Let us know, and we'll do
our best to get those changes into a future Rev update. We plan to
update Rev and Rev Lite with the latest features and bug fixes as
often as possible, and we will continue to listen to you. E-mail us
any time at
foun...@devtoaster.com and let us know what's on your
mind.
Thanks to all our customers and everyone on the mailing list for your
patience and especially your enthusiasm. We wouldn't be doing this
without your support. We hope you enjoy Rev!
Regards,
Ryan Bruels & Jay Jones
