Hi Guys

I am just starting to fiddle around with a GUI for Tinyg2, written in C#.  I just have a couple of questions to clarify a few things about the use of Dual USB ports.

Firstly I have my Due flashed with the latest firmware and have drivers installed for my two ports (I think). If I plug just my first USB cable in, it comes up in my control panel (Win7 64bit) as "Arduino Due Programming Port Com21", and then when I plug the second USB cable in, control panel reports this as TinyG v2 (control Channel) (Com24) AND TinyG v2 (Data Channel) (Com25) .  Is this correct???? It seems a little hinky to me, having both Com24 and 25 from the one physical USB cable.  Or do I need to some sort of changes to the firmware to allow the two ports???

Secondly, am I correct that I simply use the Data port to send  GCode files to - either a complete file or simple incremental jogging commands.  Then the Control channel is for receiving data from the TinyG2 and for sending miscellaneous commands to the TinyG2????

Thanks for your help.

Best regards
Andrew

The dual endpoint USB presents two USB interfaces on a single cable and does not use 2 cables. You can unplug the Due programming cable.

Hi Alden
Thanks very much for the clarification.  I will make a start and see what becomes of it.
