I'm not sure if this kind of proposals can be made at devthon or it's suited towards more in50hrs like an event But here is the problem, I think we can solve. It is the problem out of sync and outdated profiles. It is not a big problem but surely is an annoying one.

Here's an example I recently moved from Hyderabad to Bangalore, I had to update it in twitter, facebook, linkedin, dribbble, forrst, designmoo, elance, meetup, googleplus, adobe creative cloud etc. Half of which I never got update. I have to redo the whole process again because Im moving to another house in Bangalore in two weeks. Did I mention I had add a new phone number too.

So I propose we create a central dashboard which is linked to all our accounts through APIs. Any updates we make to the dashboard are made across all our accounts

Karthik one more dashboard? .. Each company out there (facebook, about.me,twitter,g+) is trying to do the same by providing open APIs :). Nevertheless, on your point whether this kind of proposal suits devthon. It surely does. Either you decide to hack on it or find the idea resonating with somebody else, devthon is a space to just get going. 2 days of "try out your idea". The 'big' difference with in50hrs is that 'one of the outcomes' is a startup. There are other outcomes that devthon facilitates and helps focusing on. This is around innovation and exploration.

Warm regards,
Harish Krishnan,

I agree with the problem. But a bigger problem is to manage multiple login Ids and passwords. I think combining OpenId with syncing of profiles may be a good idea (or a good marketing) strategy.

This begs the question though...Why isn't every site implementing openId?
