mos_2d size change

hi 

i'm student in korea and i;m using DEVSIM for studying.

i wnat to observe "SCE" reducing the scale of mosfet.

so, I changed scale parameters in "gmsh_mos2d_create.py" file like below

(#gray is default)

But I can't watch changed scale of mosfet in "paraview"

Even if i changed the 'device_width' and 'device_thickness' dramatically,  there are no change in paraview. I am still watching the default mosfet size.

did i omit something? Is there anything else I need to set up?

I'm guessing i need to set the mesh frame, but I can not find it.

Hello,

gmsh_mos2d_create.py takes an existing gmsh mesh, gmsh_mos2d.msh, created by gmsh, and adds the doping profile.

Please edit gmsh_mos2d.geo and mesh it using Gmsh, then run gmsh_mos2d_create.py in devsim.

Please note that some of the parameters in gmsh_mos2d_create.py are not referenced anywhere in the script, and have no effect on the resulting doping.

gmsh -2 -format msh22 gmsh_mos2d.msh
python gmsh_mos2d_create.py

Note that the devsim reader requires the older msh22 format.  For visualization, I have had the best success with the "tecplot" format with VisIt:

but i can not understand about mesh format

I edited geo file and meshed it and implemented gmsh_mos2d_create.py.

But i got error like below

How can I solve MeshFormat? what is msh22?

Hi,

When you create the mesh, you need to use the older mesh format.  These are the options I used from the command line of gmsh.

gmsh -2 -format msh22 gmsh_mos2d.msh

i tried to make msh 22 

but mesh file is always made with version of 4.1.

I can not understand what you said about "gmsh -2 -format msh22 gmsh_mos2d.msh".

Could you explain it in more detail about the overall trial?
