Hello,

I am trying to study SCE on a MOSFET device. I am aware there is already a MOSFET device constructed in the example file gmsh_mos2d.py, but I would like to construct my own.
So, I want to change gmsh_mos2d.msh script, but I can't understand the script well.
I want to know the meaning of these numbers.

And, I aso want to know $Elements.

Thank you,
Jimmy.

Hi Jimmy,

You need to work with the gmsh_mos2d.geo file. This is used to
generate gmsh_mos2d.msh.

The Gmsh .msh format is documented here:
http://gmsh.info/doc/texinfo/gmsh.html#MSH-file-format-version-2-_0028Legacy_0029

The Gmsh .geo format is documented here:
http://gmsh.info/doc/texinfo/gmsh.html#Geometry

As an alternative, you may consider the built-in mesher for devsim. Please see:
testing/mos_2d_create.py

for an example.

Regards,

Juan
