Getting the ball rolling

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the new topic, but given there's a lot of discussion of
potential options I thought I'd suggest that we organise a basic
(styled) static page, with perhaps an open letter on the homepage (and
link to this group) . Looking through the threads there's a tonne of
awesome ideas, a concise statement with a link is a great short-term
solution to 'what to put on devrights.org'.

If this is something that the group in general feels would be
beneficial, I'm more than happy to help word any such statement that
can state our interests, aims and goals and then be broadcast to the
world [hell, I'll probably get to work on something shortly
regardless]. At least then, there's something coherent for API vendors
to read & consider, and developers to (hopefully) agree with :-)

It also buys us some more time for design / development / decision-
making on the site ;)
