How do we raise awareness?

As Michael stated in the Mandate thread, it might be an idea to
promote the #devrights charter at conferences, etc. As such, it might
be an idea to prepare a few standard slides that presenters can add to
their slide decks easily in Keynote etc. (This is something I can
easily help with.)

(Of course having a Developer Friendly/#devrights logo/certification
image will make that easier.)

Others have mentioned getting tech news sites interested…

Thoughts? Ideas?

Maybe make some kind of badge that dev's can put on their website
leading to a 'petition' for more devrights...

Might be worth trying to do presentations on it at user groups (eg the various PHP user groups in the UK) and places like the Facebook Developer Garage?

I run a regional drupal user group here in the US. I'm happy to do a
dry run on it next week when we next meet if @aral or somebody else
can bake up slides clearly stating:
- the general problem,
- the movement & how it got "officially" started, and
- how devs can contribute / add steam with minimal effort (this can
be a "stay tuned" slide with possible ideas...).

In return, I can provide their feedback.

I'm going to be doing a talk on API design at a few barcamps around
the UK (Leeds, Blackpool, Barnsley) and would love to do a slide or
two on #devrights if we can get some content together.
