It is a special occasion during the holy month of Kartika to commemorate the Govardhana-lila of Lord Krishna by worshipping the cows and the Govardhana Hill. The Govardhana Hill is revered as the king of all mountains and the best of Lord Hari’s servants because of its intimate connection with the Lord’s childhood pastimes.
The main attractions of the celebrations at our temple include a huge replica of Govardhana Hill made with pure vegetarian cake and Lord Krishna in a beautiful Giridhari alankara.
