Once Lord Krishna had a headache, and He proclaimed that nothing would cure it save the dust from a devotee’s foot. So Narada was dispatched to find some dust, and he immediately went to some of the great demigods like Brahma, Shiva, Indra, etc., but none would oblige him. They pleaded, “Oh, what would happen to me? What a great offense to put the dust of one’s foot on the head of the Almighty Lord.” So no one would give him any dust. Finally he went to Vrindavana, and immediately all the gopis surrounded him.

The gopis asked  " How is our Lord? Please tell us, how is He doing?"

Narada Muni replied, "The Lord has a headache."

"Oh, no! The Lord has a headache. Oh, no! What can we do?"

"The only thing that will cure Him is the dust from His devotee's feet."

Immediately they replied, "Oh, yes, yes! Take it, take it all. Take as much as you want. Take everything."

Narada Muni said, "Don't you know that you could go to hell for this?"

"We don't care if we go to hell, as long as Krishna's headache is cured."

That is the position of a devotee—he cares neither for heaven nor hell, simply the pleasure of Krishna.

Hare Krishna!
