Hare Krishna,

Dandavats. All glories to Srila Prabhupada, Sri Guru and Gauranga.

Had a discussion with HG Anand Vrindavan Prabhu who voluntarily provides guidance to devotees on financial planning. Please find few points below:

1.       Market is well poised now. Dynamic and stable Govt at the center is a big plus. Those who have invested should get more returns if they remain invested. Personally prabhuji is remaining invested.

2.       There are bound to be some upheavals in the market just as current Iraq crisis or upcoming budget etc, investments through SIP takes care of such upheavals.

3.       Better to plan investment in mutual funds for long duration such as 10 years though one can withdraw earlier if the market condition is good.

4.       Investment in real estate does not look promising as Govt may give a push to construction of affordable houses. Situation may become more clear once Govt spells out the policy in the budget.

5.       Investment in gold and silver does not look promising as the prices are likely to come down based on Rupee’s appreciation.

Hope it helps. If you have any queries, please do let us know.

Your servant,

Ram Vilas das
