By Lord Krishna’s grace, we now have another goshala at Daund. Similar to goshala at Naigaon, this goshala is also being run by ISKCON Pune. HG Ajit Krishna Prabhu is leading these efforts. Please find mail from him with latest updates.
Srila Prabhupada, the founder Acharya of ISKCON, raised the issue of cow killing in many of his lectures and discussions. We get nourished by the milk of cow hence cow is regarded as our mother hence is very much part of our family. A cultured person never disowns family members when they become invalid or old. Similarly cows are also not supposed to be sold or let loose when they no longer give milk. In our goshalas, we are committed to keep cows and bulls in the best possible manner till their natural death. We try to make various products using cow urine and cow stool so that we can generate some funds. You may know that Vedic cow is the only creature whose stool and urine are antiseptic and prophylactic. They are so pure that they are used for the poojas.
Kindly provide your help and support so that we together can serve the cows better.
Apart from the items mentioned in below mail, we are purchasing these all 29 cows from a farmer one by one so if someone wishes to donate them to us… EACH Godan is Rs. 35,000 to 40,000 ONLY.

Dear Prabhu,
Latest development at Daund:
1. We have got 2 acre land as of now
2. There we have 29 cows/calves/bulls
3. We have started making ghee from our own cows milk for our donors as first priority with discount since they are gosevak so they should get its advantage. Still if we have more ghee that we can sell for Rs.1800 per kg (it takes 30 lit for 1 kg ghee… our cows are grazing in forest everyday and most importantly cows are happy that they will never be sent to slaughter therefore we call it “AHIMSA GHEE”)
4. We are in process to acquire some more land and make sheds for cows around 4000 sq. ft (100ft*40ft) which can accommodate around 50 cows easily.
5. Just besides the land there is beautiful forest on the hill
6. We are also supporting farmers around our goshala by collecting urine, dung and milk of pure desi cow only.
7. We are starting to make special manure for plants … soon we will launch which we can use for our indoor garden and Tulasi Maharani
8. We can teach devotees how to do Agnihotra which is becoming very popular nowadays and already many countries are doing it on larger scale due to its health benefits. We will soon send details of it , when and where we are going to teach… it takes only 5 min.
There are many activities which have been planned and soon its information will be released.
