Slant of Light Theater Company is pleased to announce auditions
for their 2010-2011 Rail Against the Headlines Season production of
Hope Throws Her Heart Away, by Susan Goodell.
About the show:
Hope Throws Her Heart Away is the comedy/drama about a woman who has
gone adrift trying to be all things to all people, pleasing everyone
but herself. It’s the journey of growing up after growing up and
finding a path by getting lost. In tune with Hope’s conflicted
personality, this is a one-woman show—performed by three actresses.
Casting the following roles (Non-AEA ONLY):
ACTRESS 1, ACTRESS 2 and ACTRESS 3 all play one character, HOPE who
can be 40s to 60’s, old enough to have journeyed through life a while.
ACTRESS 1 takes the role of narrator, when there is one. ACTRESS 2 has
dog and fantasy monologues and ACTRESS 3 tends to represent HOPE’s
more adventurous side.
